New article about Core Stability

Just out in JBMT (Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies), is an arresting article on the assumptions about core stability, “The Myth of Core Stability” by British osteopathic physician, Eyal Lederman. You can download this article for free, made available by CPDO.net.

It is my view that the muscular instability behind back pain is not in the abdominals or back muscles but in the muscles that stabilize the pelvis (gluteus medius) during standing and walking. I will give a workshop on this topic in NY in April at Movements Afoot.
