Body-in-Motion at the movies, and a new Cardio Season

A 3-D Workout client writes :

I wanted to let you know how much I like 3-D Workout and thanks to vol. II, I am clearer on how to do the hip roll. I also love the neck stretches. I never really knew how to safely stretch my neck. The Levator [Scapulae] stretch is quite helpful to me. Also, the hip roll followed by a few leg abductions while lying on my side is giving me greater clarity as to engaging the side hip muscles and getting the “dimple” on the side of the hip during many movements. Thanks for your work. It’s really good stuff! JL

Cardio 3-D: Season #2

After last summer’s enthusiastic sign-up for 3-D Workout with an outdoor component we are starting up again in late April. SIGN UP NOW for a place in this class.

  • Level I: Wednesday, time TBA, June 24-Aug 26 (9 classes). This is a beginner class
  • Level II: Mondays 6-7:30 p.m., April 27-Aug 24 (16 classes)
  • Level II: Thursdays 9:30-11 a.m., April 30-Aug 27 (18 classes)

Here’s how the class works. The Body-in-Motion studio is just 1 km from Lake Ontario. We start a 90-minute class in the studio with floor work and stretches for about 40 min. We walk or run to the lake (walking takes about 15 min each way), do our unique resistance work at the beach (there’s plenty of shade) and then walk/run back to the studio. Students may continue their run on an optional 5 km course through the residential area.
